I’ve learned over the past decade that exercise is very technical. Breathing mechanics, pelvic tilt, faulty movement patterns…it goes on and on. The most advanced exercises, in terms of getting awesome results, are the least expensive. The more expensive the machine, generally the worse it is for you. A rock, stick, log, and a hill will offer the most dynamic, challenging workout. A $20K machine to work just one muscle….really? As if the body moves only one muscle with all others relaxed.

Rock climbing, running, biking, gardening, sports, jumping, etc. These are natural movements the body appreciates – and – responds very well to! Of course, this doesn’t mean we don’t want to challenge the body from time to time with resistance training, kettle bell training, or yoga, etc.
